The workflows in Chapter 6 are built by hand from the raw interfaces in Chapters 2–3: a scientist writes the loop, the coordinate math, and the save logic themselves. A **mode** (`aecroscopywave.modes`) is the next step up — a fully composed, ready-made experiment pipeline that connects those same interfaces into a single, reusable procedure for a specific measurement.
